This is a fun multi-cache! The first leg will lead you to a plant/ammo container with the pirate's treasure map inside! This map will lead you to the final treasure chest, which is inside a brown plastic 6-7 gallon container. Have fun mateys!!
The first leg is located at an area where there are a lot of huge glacier rock formations where climbers like to practice their skills. Be sure to bring a camera or a writing utensil to jot down the coordinates from the treasure map to the final treasure, as there is only one map that must stay in its secret location..., and beware of muggles!! You do not need to bushwack until the last 80 feet. Just stay on trail and walk by all the boulders. Make sure to park in the designated parking areas and do not have your car on the road at all - to avoid being hit or getting a ticket.
The buried treasure is on a trail called the Jackrabbit Trail. You will need to drive down the road to next stop. This area is very popular all year around for hiking, walking dogs, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing. Please also park in the designated parking area across the street at the other trailhead opening - just before the opening to this trail head. Just walk down the road about 100 feet and this trail head will be on your left across the street. You do not need to bushwack off the trail until the last 20 feet.
