Geocache Description:

It is said that the earth's circle which the human race inhabits is torn across into many bights, so that great seas run into the land from the out-ocean.

The University of Akureyri (Háskólinn á Akureyri) is a young institution, founded on the 5th of September 1987 in the city of Akureyri in the north part of Iceland. It has grown since then, especially in the last few years as more facilities have been established. 1,486 students attended the university in the autumn of 2006. The school has graduated students with B.Sc., B.A, B.Ed. degrees for undergraduates and M.Sc., M.L., M.Sc. or M.A. for masters.
