One of 6 feeder caches for the Pretty Prosen bonus cache. These caches were set so that cachers with children or who are physically unable to do some of the more strenous caches can experience the beauty of this glen. There are many different views along the glen and we hope you enjoy exploring it. There are obvious laybys/space to pull off the road at all the caches.
This cache is set next to the pretty wee lochan marked on the OS map. When we set the cache there was a family of ducks gently swimming across the water and the reflection of the trees behind in the dark water made a very pretty picture.
Just up the glen a few hundred metres from this cache you will pass the cairn commemerating the ill fated 1912 Scott/Wilson Antarctic expedition. The expedition was planned in a nearby house where Dr Wilson lived and worked, and it was on the hills running northwards in the glen that Scott tested the sledges and other equipment that were to be used in Antarctica
