Geocache Description:

**************** FLOOD GATE Cache ****************

Part of the Newlands Project, first built by the Bureau of Reclamation and now operated by the Carson Division of the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District (TCID). This gate funnels a lot of water through it. Watch the spider webs as you look for this small container. It is no fun to find this unless the water is flowing. Be careful around these gates and waterways.
