Howbaddoyouwantit? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

DinoDuo: Cacher "bad habits" was correct. Apparently the air/water tight container loses those properties after 9-10 years. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

Along the Manistee River

This cache is placed near a small access point along the Manistee River S of M72 that is popular with paddlers and fishermen. It is a favorite of ours since we live on the river and it provides a fairly short trip takeout point, and is easy to get to along a paved road except for the last 100 yards or so. There is parking for a few cars within 200’ of the cache. You may have to use some stealth if muggles are present, especially fishermen.
The container is one that we won in a drawing at the TC Winter Convergence and have been waiting for the right spot to place it. It is about the size of a school pencil box, and is supposedly air/water tight (time will tell). It should be fairly easy to spot for cachers, but will take some effort to get to. There are a couple of options: One, use a floatation device (canoe, kayak, tube, etc.) or two, walk to it (you will get wet unless you have heavenly connections and can walk on water, or wear waders). Depending on the route you choose and your height, your bellybutton may or may not get wet. Of course there could be other methods, but they may not be practical or cost effective.
You could make this a one and a half hour (or so) scenic float down from M72 (shorter if you paddle), or a short search and grab. It is recommended to be a warm weather hunt, but a Very hardy cacher would have a good chance of success during the colder months. Hope you enjoy! Please put the container back where you found it and be sure to cover it up. The coords were obtained from the average of 150 readings, though the accuracy was not the greatest.
