Geocache Description:

This is a medium size (2.0 liter) clear plastic lock’n lock container. Requires 10-15 feet of moderate bushwhacking, but is an easy trail walk up to that point.

The Missouri-Pacific Railroad ran track along here. Nowadays the rails have been replaced by an excellent gravel trail – the Mo-Pac Trail.
Park at the trailhead at N40° 52.981’ W96° 15.337’. There is slightly closer parking; however, that would require one to trespass to get to the cache – a distinct no-no. Besides, parking at the trailhead is much easier walking, faster, and practically guarantees you will be on the right side of the creek.
Weeping Water Creek parallels this section of trail. Note the mini-rapids near the cache and the swimming hole (according to an old Wabash resident) to the southeast of the cache.
Cache has been placed with the kind permission of the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District.
Permit number: 0705-001
Approved by: GDJ
Date: 8/9/07
(If you find this cache in July or early August 2008, remind me in your log that the permit is up for renewal then. Hey, I’m getting old. I need all the help I can get remembering something for a day, little alone a whole year.)
