ZH ~ Forest Hills Cemetery
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The "ZH" in the cache name above signifies a Zombie Hunt, a project
by the Solanum and Undead Awareness Foundation (SUAF) to
distinguish those caches that are placed at or near locations where
there may be an increased chance of a zombie encounter (e.g.,
cemeteries, brain labs, etc.).
Above all else, please be respectful of the area.
I will provide a survival tip with each ZH hide to educate others
about how to deal and cope with a zombie encounter.
Weapons To Use Against Zombies - What Not To
Use:
The Sling. Avoid the sling as your primary weapon. Made famous from
the Biblical story of David and Goliath, this weapon has been part
of our heritage for all of history. The user places a smooth, round
stone in the wider center of a thin leather strip., grabs both
ends, swings it repeatedly in a rapid circle, then releases one end
of the strip, loosing the stone at his target. Theoretically, it is
possible to dispatch a zombie with a silent headshot at just under
thirty paces. However, even with months of training, the chances of
scoring such a hit are one in ten at best. With no experience, the
weilder would be better off just throwing stones.
This geocache is a small container. It is diesel oil test sample
container. It originally contains a goofy travel bug.
I must really like my fellow geocachers. I wanted this hiding
spot. However, there was a dead animal very close to the hiding
spot. So, to spare everybody the unpleasantness of having to go
near a dead animal (reference a few of my previous hides), I moved
it. It is a large rodent. I have no idea what type of rodent, but
it weighs about seven pounds and has rodent teeth, about the size
of a smaller beaver but gray in color and a short hairy tail. It
was stinky and bloated and accompanied by a swarm of flies. Anyway,
I moved it. For you. Just for you. You are welcome.
Have fun! And if you see a zombie staggering toward you, run! Fast!
Although they stagger pretty slow, they are persistent.
