Port of Sale 3: The Canal Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Robmc: This series has been taking up prime positions around Sale for too long. Time for something new for the locals to do.
Thanks to all the cachers who have helped with maintenance of this series over the years.
Thanks, Robmc.

Geocache Description:

The 'Port of Sale' features a boat ramp at the northern end of the historic 2.5km canal which links Sale to the Gippsland Lakes system and the open sea.
It is a slightly disappointing veiw of what must have beeen a very busy port area in its hayday.
The map on the sign gives you a better idea of the layout of the Canal, than just looking at the pylons here.

Time to read:
There are two trails you can walk. Some caches are available. How long is the short one? A kms.
What year was the trail officially opened? BCDE
The Canal was dug between FGHJ-KL

A quick calculation:
38 06.(H)(F)(A-B) 147 03.(G)(E)(K)
