Throughout Gawler South, there is a series of back laneways. These were used in the days before piped sewerage for the emptying of residential outhouses.
More recently, after years of neglect, some of these lanes have started to be used to direct traffic flow from the back of businesses, thus reducing congestion along the main road - this is not one of them!
You may not see them marked on any maps, but they were recently all named and generally can be identified by ‘No Through Road’ signs. As such, it is best if you walk down them, rather than drive.
