This is a beauitful scenic overlook site at Lake Ottawa.
Best viewed in the fall of the year.
The GPS coordinants will lead you to the Orville Lind Scenic Overlook parking lot on a blacktop county road. South of the parking lot is the Ge-Che Recreation trail for Hiking, 4-wheeling and cross country skiing. Cross the road to the "TRAIL" sign. The trail is well used and is easy to follow. Walk approximately 312 paces down the trail from the sign to the area of the cache. (N46.04.190 W088.46.130) The cache is a 2 quart plastic container holding a FTF Michigan "Kangaroo Kash" Lotto Ticket. (of course we hope the FTF will share the winnings with us) Other items are a Plastic Turkey Leg, small brass padlock w/keys, Football Toy, Little Car, Book Marker, Many Unique Keychains, and LOGBOOK & Pencil w/sharpener. Enjoy the area around Lake Ottawa, it has a Forest Service Campground with 32 units, Boat Launch, Swimming Beach, Playground and Picnic area.
