The Althorp Pirate Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hanoosh: As this one has not been found for ages and it is clear the CO is no longer caching having not logged on for over five years, I am archiving this cache.

Geocache Description:

This is the first traditional cache that I have placed with many of the items given to me from Coppers Lot on my 29th Birthday. The above terrain rating reflects the need to climb a style and jump a small river/ditch.

This cache is placed just out side Great Brington, opposite Althorp House. You are looking for a small clip lock box. The above co-ordinates take you to the foot path where you will need to jump a small river/ditch and walk the plank approx 30ft to find the treasure. Please don't park on the bank next to the Althorp Wall, they are VERY security conscious and you may end up with the Police eyeing up your motor vehicle! Please visit the following website if you want to make a day of it. Www.althorp.com Its a lovely house where Princess Diana grew up. There are many shows and exhibitions held throughout the year and they also have concerts here. If you are in need of a pub lunch whilst doing this cache I would recommend stopping at the Althorp Coaching Inn at Great Brington. At the time of placing the cache it contained: numerous vouchers for Tussauds attractions Nail varnish and various swaps 2 geo coins 1 travel bug
