FallenFaery placed her first cache on these grounds and it had
to be archived. We decided to place a cache that would still bring
you to the location but not violate any laws. You will have to
drive to the final.
The Higinbotham Mansion was built in 1894 for $200,000. It had
35 rooms, a moat around the mansion with Japanese style bridges and
many additional buildings connected. Mrs. Higinbotham was never
comfortable living in the Mansion. (Urban legends say that one of
her children died in an underground tunnel) After only 7 Months the
house was abandoned. It was left to rot away until 1946 when it was
demolished.
You can read the story in more detail on a plaques in front of
the cemetary near this cache. In fact, you will need to read the
plaques to get the information for the final.
The listed coordinates are your starting point. You will see a
series of plaques that tell about the area and the Higinbotham
family. You will need one number from each sign in order to get the
coordinates for the final stage. It's a simple fill in the blanks.
Start at the northern most sign. Enjoy!

W088* 03.DEF
To double check your numbers...The sum of the digits should add
up to 29.
Now you are ready for the final but please take note of
the following:
#1: The final stage is placed on PRIVATE PROPERTY with the
cooperation and permission of the owner. Please respect the
area. Please pull into the driveway and park. There isn't much room
on the street to park.
#2: Please do not hunt the final after dark as a courtesy to the
neighbors.
#3: The owners are friendly and if you see a few cars in the
driveway, they are probably home. They may come out to greet you
and say hi. So don't be surprised if they do.
