Geocache Description:

A hard to get to spot but a beautiful area to relax and enjoy!

I have spent many summers (all times of the year actually) on beautiful Pike Lake.
All the islands on the lake are crown land (except one) and great for exploring.
Come enjoy the lake at anytime of the year.

As a kid I would play on this island, exploring it with my buddies making forts and camps. One year while exploring this island in early spring with my daughter we came upon two baby deer that had taken up residence on this island spending the entire summer eating the lush greens around the island. This year there is a beaver that lives on the west shore. There is also a family of loons who fish the shores of the island. You can see Mom and Dad teaching the two babies how to fish, fly and cry. The island has trails and views nice spots for picnics all year long. There are several campsites with great swimming areas. And of course super fishing nearby……..

Best access to this cache would be from GCX2DP.
The cache is large and in a geocache spot!
Any problems with the set up please email me.
Please leave everything as you found it.
And of course please practice CITO!
