This cache is part of a series of caches to honor Bayonets4U reaching the 3000 find milestone. Located on Suffolk County Parklands. Best parking is off the north connector ramp between Sunrise Highway and route 111. You might find it difficult to get going in the right direction.
This cache will get you on the old farm road that goes up to the parking lot at Pine Meadows County Park on route 51. It's a great bike riding area. In fact, my favorite way into this area is to start from HUK-2 and explore from there. You will see lots of birds, deer and fox dens. The terrain varies from typical pine barrens to high grass former farmland to sod farm. You are also likely to see, or at least hear, model airplanes flying. You can also see "Star Gazer" from some different angles. This is a nontraditional container but should be an easy find.
