Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of caches to honor Bayonets4U reaching the 3000 find milestone. Best parking is at Pine Meadows County Park parking lot on route 51, but there are other ways into the area. This is a typical lock and lock clone just a few feet off a trail.

I have been noticing lots of Suffolk County Parklands signs around my home area. So today, standing under one of the signs deep in the woods, I called the number on the sign and asked this question: "Can I get a map of all the Parkland properties that shows their borders?" The answer was, essentially, "No." I can get maps of parks. I can get hiking trails. I was told I can formally request information about newly acquired parcels through the Freedom of Information Act! But I would have to do it every month to keep up with their acquisitions. So it occurred to me that they need help naming all the new land parcels they purchase, receive or take for parklands. OK, I guess this whole area is Pine Meadows County Park, but let's practice anyway. When you log the cache online, tell us what you would have named this area. The only thing I could find out about it is that it is referred to as "The recently acquired Universal Pictures property." There. That should help you come up with something creative.
