Geocache Description:

NOTE ADDED 12/11/2009: Some stages include hints that will guide you to a website. But geocities.com has been shut down. I am working on getting out there to change the information in the stages. The files are hosted on a new website. Just replace "geocities.com/talk2azs" with "talk2azs.hostzi.com". the rest of the line is still the same.

Exercise you mind and body a little bit with this, easier than it looks, adventure while using a little bit of old-school navigation techniques at the same time.

NEW HINT ADDED 12/13/07

I say easier than it looks because if you follow the instructions accurately, you will be led to exact location of each stage.

The GPS location above is the general area of the new portion of a favorite park of mine. Please cover the cache back up after you have found it.

To complete this Multi-Stage cache you will need to bring along a couple of things.
They are:
1> Bring your notes with you on this find.
2> Bring something to write with to add to your notes.
3> Bring a Compass if your GPS does not have one.
***NOTE1: Calibrate your GPS compass or your
bearings may be off!!!
***NOTE2: All compass bearings on this cache were
recorded with a true magnetic North
compass and not an electronic compass.
You can't get more accurate than that...

First you will need to solve for the variables 'a' through 'o' by using the GPS coordinates in Decimal/Degrees listed below. Converting these coordinates is optional, but not necessary. HINT: (You do not have to go to these locations, unless you can afford the Airfare!) (You can use your computer!)

=========================
START WRITING NOTES HERE!
=========================
Each location contains a 1 or 2 digit number.
(Use ONLY the numbers located at each coordinate!)

a = (N 33.631853, W 84.447087)
This location contains a number and a letter. Only use the number.
example: (If what you find is '7W' then a=7)

b,c = (N 32.117211, W 81.20037)
This location contains a 2 digit number.
example: (if the number you find is '36', then b=3 and c=6)

d,e = (N 32.697967, W 83.650326)

f = (N 33.366082, W 81.969064)

g,h = (N 32.522292, W 84.927578)

i,j = (N 30.773865, W 83.272419)

k,l = (N 33.949341, W 83.320677)

m,n = (N 33.872723, W 84.300531)

o = (N 33.974737, W 83.970534)

Using the variables, plug them into the GPS coordinates below.
STAGE 1 is located at:
N bm no.hfj W 0fi ja.903
**NOTE: Do not confuse the number '0'(ZERO)
**______with the letter 'o'!!!

=====================
WHAT TO DO AT STAGE 1
=====================
At the site, you are looking for a 4 digit number (????).
*Safety Hint: (You do not have to get out of your car!)
Now fill in the single digit Variables for p,q,r,s

p,q,r,s = ?,?,?,?
(example: if the number = 1234 then p=1, q=2, r=3, and s=4.)

Using the new variables along with the original variables, fill in the GPS coordinates to find STAGE 2.
STAGE 2, a man-made object is located at:
N ii hl.qfc W 0fe ja.orf

====================================
WHAT TO DO AT THE REST OF THE STAGES
====================================
1> REMEMBER TO TAKE NOTES AT ALL STAGES. YOU WILL NEED ALL OF YOUR NOTES AT EVERY STAGE!!!
2> Watch out for the occasional Muggle!!! This part of the park is not very well known yet. You will see a jogger/walker every now and then.

=====================
WHAT TO DO AT STAGE 2
=====================
At the man-made object, face Eastward at 80 Degrees. Walk about 27 feet to a small Cedar Pine Tree. (YES, A CEDAR PINE TREE). You should find everything you need for the next stage.

===========================
FINAL CACHE LOCATION MOVED
===========================
Due to Mother Nature constantly changing the landscaping, the final had to be moved.
After you calculate your final coordinates, add .011 to your North coordinates and add .011 to your West coordinates. The cache is well hidden in a fallen "V".

GOOD LUCK, AND HAPPY HUNTING....
