This cache is historical, exciting, in a nice location, and a really good hide. I hope you enjoy it!
This cache is found in Smuggler's Notch. In this area you will find an information booth, and a great area to pull over to the side of the road, and explore some of the areas were Smuggler's used to hide there liquor. BootLegger's Burrow is really called "Smuggler's Cave" because Smuggler's hid their booze in this very cave. There are many ways to get inside this cave. You can be brave and figure out how to get in though the front entrance near the parking lot, or go in through the top.I recommend to go up the hill around 44 30.410N 72 47.694W and right into the cave. From this location you will most likely loose signal, since you are in a cave. Go to the side of the cave were you can walk up to the sky, and start looking. You may need a hint here, it is a bit tricky. Make sure to bring a flashlight, and don't hit your head! I may not advise you to go on a rainny day, since you may slip. The cache is small, and only you can only fit small things inside.
After you have found the cache, check out the view on the high rock very close to the cave. It offers a great view. It is easier to get to if you exit the cave, turn to the right, and work you way up until you see a small path to your right. Its kinda hard to get up, but I am sure you will enjoy it.
When you get down to the parking lot, try to find the "Smuggler" in the above ledge. From the Parking Lot you can see his face and his dog. This rock naturally formed as a face. It is pretty cool once you find it. Check out my photo attached so you have an idea where to look, it is hard to find if you just look up.
