This is one in a series of caches that will take you to Greers Ferry Lake, thus the name. Along your tour you will see many of the highlights and/or businesses that are available in the Heber Springs area. You may even learn a little history or find out about a business located in this small rural town. These caches are hidden in traditional ways. They only contain a log. Please bring a writing instrument with you. Please replace the cache as you found it so others will have the same clue you did. Verbal permission was obtained from the owner of this business. This is wheelchair accessible, with assistance. As of 9/26/17 there isn't a series of caches to obtain a final location. Some of this series are remaining as stand alone caches. Above all, be safe, have fun, happy caching, and enjoy each day to its fullest. Red Herring (Clupidae) - Tiny silver, fork-tailed schooling fish. There are about ten different species of similar fish (silversides, herrings, anchovies, etc.) that are virtually impossible to distinguish under water. Many species mix together in a single school, making identification even more difficult. They densely packed polarized schools that flow and drift in caves, deep-cut canyons, and other sheltered areas of reefs. They often congregate in the interiors of shipwrecks. They will part, flow, and contour around divers as they pass through the schools. They range in size from 1 - 6 inches. They swim at a depth of 10 - 60 feet. They are found in Florida, the Bahamas, and in the Caribbean.
