P.T. Marvell Preserve Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cool Librarian: Well, this one had a good, long run! It was there long enough that it no longer gets a lot of visits, and I no longer live in the area full-time, so it's time to archive. Thanks to all who paid it a visit! Peace!

Geocache Description:

We stumbled upon this little place while out on another cache one summer evening. The tall grass was crazy with butterflies and bunnies when were there, and I thought a cache was in order.

The PT Marvell Preserve is a Nature Conservancy property. There is a mowed path that runs through the overgrowth and eventually ends in someone's back yard. According to property lines, the cache is placed well within the preserve boundaries. You can continue on for a bit - it really is a cool path. There are several paths that all make circles.

Summer is green and grassy and flowery in here. I would expect fall to change the landscape quite a bit, and I think chasing down the cache after a snowfall would be wonderful as well.

Yes, cache is where you think it is - a step off the path. THERE IS NO NEED TO MOVE ANY ROCKS! The cache is not covered, simply tucked behind, out of view. NO NEED TO COVER CACHE - I don't want people to pull anything apart here.

There is parking for a few cars now. Check out the nearby beach - highly recommended on a summer evening.
