Remember those long car rides in the family wagon (Ours was a
Red Mecury Station Wagon) to great locations for family fun? Well
nows the time to remember those trips as you walk another road.
This is the first in the Road Trip Series. The Road trip series
consists of 7 caches, each with a clue written on the log book and
the lid. In order to complete the series, you will need the clue
from each to find the coordinates to the seventh.
Are We there yet?
How much farther?
Don't make me seperate you two!
Don't make me turn this car around!
We're almost there.
I have to go potty!
We're here, Thank G-d!
Your trip takes you on a lot of different roads at a lot of
different speeds . . . you start on normal freeway, traveling 60
mph for 2 hours. Next you move onto less crowded (but slightly
slower) highways and are able to travel 55 mph for 3 hours. At this
point you hit construction and are stop-and-go (yuck!) for 16
miles. After the construction you drive 30 mph for 10 minutes
before you are able to get on a major highway and travel at 70 mph
for 2 hours. The last leg of your journey is 2 hours and you travel
50 mph for half of it, 55 for the other (your average speed is
52.5). What was the total distance of your trip?
Your answer will yield S.
