Det har funnits två kalkbrott i Ar som var aktiva från 1650 till 1990. Ett av dessa nu vattenfyllda brott är ”Den blå lagunen ”, som numera är ett populärt badställe.
Färgen på vattnet skiftar mellan mörkblått till tukos.
Ny väg till brottet har anlagts samt bord och bänkar har utplacerats på flera ställen runt sjön.
Ett perfekt ställe att ta sig ett dopp och sedan njuta av den medhavda picnic-korgen.
Boxen innehåller endast en logg, så medtag vänligast en penna.

There has been two limestone quarries i Ar, which were active from 1650 until 1990. One of these quarries, now filled with water is “The blue Lagune” – a popular place to bath.
The colour of the water changes from dark blue to green.
A new way to the quarry has been built and tables and seats has been placed at many places round the sea. A perfect place to take a dip and after that enjoy a picnic.
The box contains only log, so please bring a pen with you.
