Welcome to the Cambridgeshire leg of Little Quest. For more information about this country-wide network of caches, please click on the "Little Quest" banner above.
Inside the cover of the logbook are the co-ordinates you will need to note down to allow you to complete the whole of "The Little Quest".
This is an easy cache to find and located very close to the village of Marholm, where you will be able to spot "The Green Man", after which this cache is named.
Car parking is available very close to the cache, using the parking area for the church, the entrance to which is to be found 300 yards from the village along Castor Road (entrance waypoint provided as it's a bit hidden). Look out for the footpath sign to Marholm church and drive over the cattle grid and along the track and park on the verges, although please don't be tempted to drive right to the cache!
The church (and parking area) is situated in wide open land, sometimes shared with a small group of cattle, who may wander around the area, and as the church is popular for weddings, they are very used to people and parked vehicles, although you will possibly not even see them!
The cache is only a short stroll away and hidden along the public footpath which runs parallel to the little stream on the western (church) side. As this path is across grassland, the area can get boggy after rain. Although "rutty", it should be ok for push chairs in dry weather, but a little too hard going for wheelchairs.
You are looking for a black plastic container which is reachable from ground level, so no climbing is necessary (or recommended!). Can finders please ensure the cache lid is clipped up fully and leave as well-covered as possible. Thanks.
Happy Hunting!
