The first of (hopefully) a few local myths & legends caches
The Running Well is a natural spring. Called by some, The Holy Well.
Archealogical artifacts found around the spring date back some 7000 years, or more.
The legend has it that some time during the middle ages, a nunnery stood at the top of the hill. When a horde of soldiers pillaged the area, a single nun escaped on a white mare to the Running Well, where she hid for some time before she was found, raped and murdered.
Several seperate accounts have told of a ghostly apparition of a nun on a white horse.
When visiting the place you certainly get the feeling of not being alone.
The cache, when placed, is guarded by Sir Cache - The Black Knight.
