Geocache Description:

Come pick up some litter in a section of Ross Creek that has been "adopted" by
the Geocachers of the Bay Area

Time : 9am to noon, rain or shine

Ross creek is a South Bay creek flowing from the Santa Cruz Mountains through the south of San Jose where it meets Guadalupe River near Almaden Expressway. The bed and banks of the creek are Santa Clara Valley Water District property and are not public. The Water District needs help to keep the lands clean. It relies on volunteers through the Adopt-A-Creek program.

The GBA has adopted a half-a-mile section of the creek between Cherry Ave and Almaden Expressway.
This CITO event is a way for the GBA to help the Water District keep its lands clean.

To claim this event as a find, you will need to pick up a full bag of garbage and have your picture taken with it.

Update - 10/19/07 : I will have gloves (medium size) provided by the district but feel free to bring your own.
