PLEASE NOTE!!! THE
VENUE IS NOW THE NUTWELL LODGE
Many apologies for the change of plan but due to
unforeseen circumstances, the Saddler's Arms have managed to
overbook! Fortunately though, the Nutwell Lodge down the road,
which is a far superior venue, have kindly offered to put aside an
area for the event. This was our first choice of venue anyway, but
they were to be closed for refit.
However, things have changed and luckily the Nutwell Lodge will now
be open!
(We have altered the above co-ordinates
accordingly)
This event is an evening get together at the
Nutwell Lodge, Exmouth, on Saturday 13th October 2007.
We will be there from about 5.30pm as that is when they start
serving meals. Children are welcome. More information on the
Nutwell Lodge can be found here.
Please indicate if you intend to eat so as we can
let the pub have an idea of numbers dining.

As we will be leaving the UK shortly we thought it would be nice
to hold a geocaching event in order to meet up with some of our
many friends we have made through the hobby/sport/game (whatever
you call it!), and of course to also hopefully meet some of those
that we haven't had the opportunity to get to know, before we
disappear to the other side of the world!
As many of you already know, all being well, we fly on November
5th 2007 to Australia where we will be starting a new life in
Sydney, and contrary to popular belief, this is not purely due to
the fact that we have ran out of caches to find over here!

Why not make a day of it?...
In the morning, a group of us local cachers have decided to get
together and compete in the 2007 Commando
Challenge!
Yes, we are mad, but it's all in a good cause! Another local
cacher,
Kinkykimbo, has set up a 'spectators' event for those wishing
to see us in pain that morning! Details can be found on this cache
page
here.
There are then plenty of caches nearby for that afternoon and we
could all meet up again at the Saddlers Arms later on...and that
way you get to log two events in one day if you come to both!
If anyone fancies making a weekend of it and camping in the area
then we recommend this campsite as it's open
until late October and also very reasonably priced off season.
Besides, as we haven't had summer yet maybe October will be
warm!?
...Oh, and just one other small thing, it will be Mr H's 35th
birthday that day!
