An easy find along the trail to Hogg's Falls, on the Niagara Escarpment at the upstream end of the Beaver Valley just east of Flesherton, Ontario.
Hogg's Falls is in the upper end of the Beaver Valley, where the Boyne River drops vertically about 20 feet over the limestone (The Beaver River is the one that flows over much taller Eugenia Falls, and joins this stream a couple of miles downstream). Follow Grey Rd. 4 east of Flesherton to the first road running northwest, the East Back Line. Down this road aways turn onto the Lower Valley Road.
The small parking lot for Hogg's Falls is just a short distance down Lower Valley Road, at N44 17.111/W080 32.576. Follow the obvious trail northwards (downstream). You're on the main Bruce Trail, marked by white blazes; you'll hear the falls before you see it.
Shortly before you get to the falls (only about a 3 minute walk), you are walking past a steep slope with numerous large cedar and yellow birch trees. Cache is on the east side of the trail, about 3 feet above the trail, within reach from the trail, though it's tucked back in out of sight. A smaller size lock-box - small trinkets only! Be sure to tuck it back in far enough that it can't be seen or fall out, and put the branch back to help hold it place. This is replacement #6, so please put that branch back in carefully!!!
And be sure you walk on the short distance to have a look at the falls!
