Powerstation Pond Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no response to my earlier post, I'm archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact me (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail in the Mid Valley.

The pond located opposite of the PPL Powerstation works as a natural ecological filter. The water that pools here comes from the mines of our anthracite coal past. Before the water joins the Lackawanna River, it must first make its way through the naturally filtrating vegetation, which is why you may see orange around the pond.

This scenic spot is where old and new sources of power converge.
