This cache is placed on the Gordon way but is accessible by local forestry walks. It's a bit steep but the view is well worth it.
Couldn't resist putting a geocache here, the view from the head of the valley is beautiful as well as it being a perfect place for lunch if your coming from Suie Hill.
There are picnic benches on the other side of the fence behind you and if you keep going the cleggs will have your lunch before you do!
You will need stout boots for this walk and the track can be narrow in places, but is easily passable. It can also be pretty boggy and might not be so enjoyable after heavy rain.
The Gordon way is from Suie Hill car park to Bennachie Visitor Centre or visa versa depending on which end is easier to get a lift from. It takes 6-7 hours and covers around 12 miles of various types of terrain. It doesn’t cover any high peaks, but is fairly steep in places. My mother, who is 60 and not particularly fit managed it in 6 ½ hours. Don’t tell her I described her like that.
