Geocache Description:

This is a three-part multicache that will take you to Hodge Park and Old Horace Mann Park in Rock Island to gather information leading you to the cache, a micro located just outside Old Horace Mann Park.

I wanted to place a cache in each of the Rock Island parks; however, current policy requires park-board approval of the cache and location, removal of the cache by March 31, and resubmission for 1-year park board approval if the cache is relocated within the park. Therefore, I am creating a series of 3-part multicaches that take you to two different Rock Island parks for information leading to the coordinates for a micro cache located near, but just outside, the second park you visit.

For all you will need your own pen. For some you may want an extraction device.

Hodge Park offers tennis courts, basketball courts, ball diamond, playground equipment, picnic shelter, and 8 acres of green space.

Old Horace Mann Park has a ball diamond.

Part 1
The above coordinates take you to the parking lot of Hodge Park. There you will see several signs and objects, in addition to the sign with the name of the park, visible from your vehicle with information to answer the following questions: some balls, a yellow sign, and (to the left and right along the center of the parking area) a brown sign.

How many big triangles are on these signs? A____

On the yellow sign, ignoring the small print along the bottom, how many letters are in the longest word? B____

On the brown sign, how many letters are in the first two words in the last line? C____

On the brown sign, how many letters are in the first word in the next to last line? D____

What is the number on the sign? E____

How many big balls are there? F____

Part 2
Now go to N 41° 29.816 W 090° 32.952 to the parking lot at Old Horace Mann Park to answer the following question:

How many tiers of benches are on the bleachers? G____

Part 3
Now figure out the coordinates for the cache located just outside Old Horace Mann Park:

N 41° 29.(B-A)(C-D)(F) W 090° 32.(C)(E-D)(G)
