Geocache Description:

Park in a small parking lot (sounds like Mr. Ed's owner)

This one has to be done at low tide it is in a small plastic contanier. This building was a Boathouse and people would come over from the main island to go to the beach (before there were any bridges) they would have to come in and listen to a sales pitch from Jacob to buy land before they could go to the beach. There was a hotel on the corner of Tornita and S. Atlantic Ave. there also was a store and post office on Tornita and several cottages. The building is now used by our community and is also rented out for weddings etc. If there is an event going on please respect the renters and go around the building. You can fish on the river or launch your small boat here. Across the street in the triangle is a stone marker you may want to check out.
