Geocache Description:

Very small cemetery located in Oakley. Some of the older stones go back to the late 1800’s. There is a STEEP drop off at the edge of the cemetery. Use care. Do not let the kids run ahead of you. Do not go down the hill. Cache is within 3-5 feet of the mown area.

After several trips exploring this area (scouting out locations for the newest In Plain Sight) I noticed there seemed to be a dearth (I just love that word) of nearby caches. So I decided to place a few. This way the cachers who come to the area seeking the famous (or is it infamous?) In Plain Sight caches will be able to pick up a few more smilies.

I have always enjoyed exploring cemeteries, especially old, small town/country ones. Long before I ever learned about geocaching – I would stop whenever I passed one and spend time wandering through it and reading the headstones.

Please be respectful of the area and do not visit after dark (as with all cemetery caches).
