Exit 76 off I-26; eastbound side.
Pullover is readily evident.
Do not block in the fenced-in Utility area nearby when parking please.
Container is about the size of a shoebox and has log/writing instrument and lots of toys and animal themed items.
This is #66 in a loooong series honoring(?) SC Geocachers.
Team Salutations consists of 2 cachers; Rhonda and Amy. Now Rhonda is the one most famous for being outspoken, cache crazy, and, well....
SHORT!
She is the one you always hear coming for miles!
But AMY is the one you SEE!
She is one tall drink of water!
And when standing next to or behind Rhonda she looks twice as tall!
She is also very quiet and all so patient.
We think she has to be to put up with crazy Rhonda and her antics.
We love to hear her tell Rhonda to get off the phone with Pisces and give her directions to the cache all the time.
(When Rhonda and Pisces start talking Verizon grids start locking up!)
She also helps promote Geocaching with meetings and get-togethers...CITO's and all types of activities.
You'll always see her quietly off to the side helping someone with their GPS or playing with a child.
Or answering the 200 questions about their pets she gets every time.
And she always does it all with a smile.
(Aries TRIES to get her to frown but can't.)
But what many do not know is that Amy is a Veterinarian.
Not just ANY Veterinarian we'll have you know.
According to Buddy The Geo-Dog she is...
SUPER VET!!!!!
Able to heal injured pets in a single visit.....
Able to cure a Shepherd of Fleas.....
Able to diagnose a Dachsaund......
SUPER VET!!!!
Buddy has never been a big fan of ANY Vet and when he sees a needle he runs....but when mild mannered quiet Dr. Wag-A-Tail showed up one day she suddenly transformed into SUPER VET and Buddy let her stick TWO needles in without a fuss.
Buddy just LOVES him some Super Vet!
Now he may have "marked" Rhonda at the Peachtree Rock CITO as a sign he loves her (Aries thinks since she is so short Buddy thought she was a Fire Hydrant)but he just melts when he sees Amy.
We know it's 'cause she has such a gentle touch and tender heart with all animals.
She never says much about it (or ANYTHING, for that matter!) but we hear how hard she works saving injured animals and comforting them in their final moments; as well as the comfort she gives the owners and their families in a stressful time.
And the hours she puts in would shock most people....rushing in to the Animal Hospital in the middle of the night for an emergency ranging from an accident to an animal giving birth.
Then she has to go home and deal with that rabid Pit-bull Rhonda!!!!
(Just kidding Rhonda...you are more like an angry Chihuhua than a Pit-Bull!)
So if you run into Salutations on the caching trails (and you will!) go up to the taller, quiet one and tell her thank you for rescuing so many animals and the everyday care of so many beloved pets.
But especially tell her thanks for puttin' up with Rhonda!!
THATS a full time job!!!!!
We absolutley promise no animals, Vets, Super Vets or Oompa-Loompa Rhonda-Roo's were harmed in the placement of this cache.
We did however meet this Dr. Doolittle fellow in the area who said Super Vet was his hero too.
Of course Pisces MAY have been either lyin' to Aries or had been testing the local 'shrooms out while areas was putting the cache in it's hidey hole.
Of course she also said a spider came and sat down beside her and asked where she bought her sunglasses and who did her hair.
Come to think of it...what the heck is up with that crazy woman!!!?!??
