Geocache Description:

The Moorooduc Quarry is believed to have started in 1887 by a Mr David Munro the stone was used for ballasting railway lines. A spur line ran from the quarry to the Frankston to Mornington railway.
The terrain is very hard coming from the Allison Rd entrance. Once a the top though you will have a great view of the countryside. If you take a walk through the rest of the reserve you might come across some storage cells from where they used to store dynamite for the quarry.
