Dieser Cache
führt euch zu einem der bekanntesten Bauwerke Hamburgs, zu dem
sogenannten 'Alten Elbtunnel'. Der Tunnel wurde in den Jahren 1907
bis 1911 gebaut und verbindet die Stadtteile St. Pauli und
Steinwerder. Hier findet ihr einen Link zu einer sehr guten

Die Cache-Lokation hat einige Vorteile im Sinne von Geocaching:
- Die gute Nachricht ist, dass der Tunnel ohne Gebühren zu Fuß,
oder mit dem Fahrrad durchquert werden kann.
- Ihr könnt die Lokation an 364 Tagen im Jahr rund um die Uhr
besuchen, zum Jahreswechsel ist der Tunnel aus naheliegenden
Gründen gesperrt.
Zum Cache:
- Der Cache befindet sich in der Tunnelmitte der Oströhre. Der
Tunnel besteht aus zwei Röhren - z.Zt. ist die Weströhre
gesperrt.
- Das Versteck ist mit einem kleinen GC-Zeichen markiert.
- Nordeingang des Tunnels: N 53°32.761' E 09°58.021'
Parkplätze stehen zur Verfügung.
- Südeingang des Tunnels: N 53°32.507' E 09°57.975'
Parkplätze stehen auch hier zur Verfügung.
- Bevor ihr den Tunnel betretet, seid euch bitte sicher, welche
die Oströhre ist.
- Besucht den Tunnel bitte nur zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad, es
stehen vor Ort keine Parkplätze zur Verfügung.
- Der Cachebehälter ist eine simple Konstruktion, die sich an die
lokalen Gegebenheiten 'anpasst'.
- Bitte achtet auf Muggles und 'Tunnelwärter'.

This cache
leads you to one of the famoust locations of Hamburg, into an old
tunnel called 'Alter Elbtunnel'. The tunnel has been built-up from
1907 until 1911 and connects the local districts called St.Pauli
and Steinwerder. Here is a very good link to a german

The cache location has a few (geocaching-) advantages:
- First of all, the good message: Visiting the tunnel by foot or
bike is for free!
- You can enter the location on 364 day per year all around the
clock, - on new years days the tunnel is closed due to obvious
reasons.
The cache:
- The Cache is located in the middle of the east tube. The
tunnel has got two tubes - for the time being, the west tube is
closed.
- The hiding place is marked by a small GC-sign.
- North-entry of the tunnel: N 53°32.761' E 09°58.021' Parking
places are available.
- South-entry of the tunnel: N 53°32.507' E 09°57.975' Parking
places are available too.
- Please check the east-direction, before you enter the
tunnel.
- Visit the cache-location only by foot or bike, inside the
tunnel there are definetly no possibilities to park a car.
- In respect to the local conditions, the cache is a special
mechanical construction.
- Please be aware of muggles and tunnel-guards.
