The Trading Post
We've been collecting sig items since we started caching in late
2002. Now it's time to set them free. We've organized our
collection (in ziplock bags) by categories: There are the historic
keychains, the increasingly common Bumble Buttons
(and similar items from other vendors), and the perennially popular
laminated cards. Of course there are some wooden
nickels, plus a few poker chips and other, similar slugs. From
way out West, you'll find a few octagonal "Geo-Tokens,"
which are individually numbered for tracking purposes. There's no
website for logging their movements, but you are supposed to let
the owners know what you do with them, whether you keep them or
move them on.
Then there are the creative ones - unique items such as
Utah Jean's custom wooden creations, Labboo's ghost samplers, and
our own compilation CDs. You'll find examples of those, too, in the
Trading Post (while supplies last).
The Online Museum
We couldn't say goodbye to all these items without taking
pictures, and we're sure you'll feel the same way about the sig
items you bring. So, why not post those pix with your logs, as
we've done with the original stock? In that way, the gallery pages
for this cache will serve as a growing web-based record of the
diversity and creativity that's out there in the world of
geocaching.
Desiderata
- This is a theme cache: Please trade only sig items (trackables
of all types are also welcome).
- To sustain this Trading Post & Online Museum, it's
essential that everyone trade up or even. Thanks!
- The Online Museum depends upon pictures. They're not required
to log this cache, but they sure are appreciated (& please at
