Lilja's pit is located just off Pigeon Hill Street. The cache is about 10' from the quarry. Park and walk about 50 feet down the town-owned path.
Cache is a small white plastic box with gray duct tape on top. It is located under a couple small to medium size cut granite rocks from quarrying days. Lilja's pit is a typical "motion" which often was manned by 1-2 guarry workers moon-lighting on their own after working a full day "for the man". Peter Lilja was the first Swedish immigrant to settle in the area. This quarry has been a favorite swimming hole and ice hockey rink for generations.
