Geocache Description:

Juan De Fuca Trail, Bear Beach to Loss Creek section, spectacular caves and cliffs on the beach.

The original cache is long gone and has now been replaced by a large pill bottle. It has been placed uphill from the west end of the bridge at the base of a large balsam in a hidey hole covered with bark and a rock. Please replace as found with the lid facing up.

"A straight compass line may be the shortest and quickest way for a crow (Corvus caurinus) to get from A to B; this is not generally true for a man (Homo sapiens) on the ground in rough terrain!".

The best access to the beach is from 1 bridge further north. At very low tide you can walk around the point to the south to Bear Beach; at medium tides you would have to wade. To the north several large caves and channels eventually stop progress along the beach. A wild and rugged area.
