The above coordinates are for parking at St Marys Church. It is a little multi with a clue somewhere in the church grounds, to work-out for the final coordinates. Please replace cache as found thanks. The geocache is a cammo-taped food container and will hold a small trackable or two.
There are good views of the bridge and the Straits from the cache site. Rest your legs to find a nursery rhyme character. St Mary's church is in the village of LlanfairPG, full name Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllant ysiliogogogoch which translates to - St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near the rapid whirlpool of St Tysillio's church, by the red cave. It is the longest place name in the UK. The memorial to Lord Horatio Nelson was erected in 1873. The monument is made of stone, inscribed with the words "Nelson", "Fell at Trafalgar 1805" and "England expects that every man will do his duty". There are excellent views of the Menai Straits from this position, which Nelson was reputed to have described as "one of the most treacherous stretches of sea in the world". The statue was sculptured and erected by Admiral Lord Clarence Paget, 4th son of the 1st Marquess of Anglesey. Lord Paget was the occupier of Plas Llanfair - later bought by the TS Indefatigable - and Commander in Chief of the Mediterranean Fleet.
