Queens Park Gardens is the centrepiece of the Garden City, just a short walk from Toowoomba's Central Business District. It is one of the oldest gardens in Toowoomba, covering 26.3 hectares. It was planned and developed by Walter Hill, a Government Botanist and superintendent of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens.

This park is venue to many events, for example the monthly Queens Park Markets, the annual Shakespeare in Queens Park Festival (end of February/beginning of March) and the Gospel Music Festival at Easter. During the Carnival of Flowers (September), the parade end and side-show alley are located in Queens Park, as well as the Food and Wine Festival.
During daytime you may need to feed the parking metre.
