Situated in Ellis Brook Reserve, it is reasonable walk on established tracks. About 2 Hours walk return.
Park in the main car park in Ellis Brook Reserve, and head off on the established track which is circular and about 3km's. This takes you past a lovely waterfall (better in winter). If you take the track to the left from the end of the carpark, the climb up hill is more gentle than heading straight up the steep steps (which is hard work going up and easier to come down). Although the right track will get you to the location faster, be prepared to huff and puff though.
Either track you choose, eventually you will reach a seat at the coordinates S32 03.892 E116 02.452, (take a rest here). Now face the seat and look up the slope, there's a nice clearing here, and on the left side of this clearing is a trail heading up into the bush. Go on up, because this is where the cache is, and we'll let you find your own way from here.
The views of Perth are spectacular from the cache spot. This climb is suitable for children, although I wouldn't take really young Geokiddies, but many do. The cache is a circular white plastic container, about a litre and a half - with many of the usual treasures in it - you know odds and sods, so you can choose what you think is treasure. This will take you around two hours return plus hunting time.
