Geocache Description:

kid friendly cache contents, stony, sloping track easily walkable though not pushchair friendly

Plenty of kiddy friendly trades, logbook. On a now quiet and deeply sunken lane west of Edensor, which in the medieval period was a main road from Bakewell to Chesterfield, as well as providing a local access route through open fields and commons. It was turnpiked in 1739 and was one of the earliest such roads in the region. Edensor Post office further down track has a nice cafe with great coffee - never too busy even though on edge of Chatsworth.
