This Lookout is on the National Historic Lookout Register and you can read about it on the webpage listed. http://www.nhlr.org/Lookouts/each_lookout.aspx?which_lookout=191 . Hold on to young children because there are some severe dropoffs nearby.
The Lookout is fenced and manned at different times, usually during drought and storm conditions. You'll find the cache in the surrounding area. You will have a great view from this location. Park down below at the gate which is closed and walk up a short ways.
