A geocache at the Deadman Pass Rest Area.
The cache can be accessed from both the westbound and eastbound rest areas. If you have stopped at the westbound area, turn left after leaving the freeway and drive through the narrow tunnel under the Interstate.
Update 4-7-2022: Access to the original cache site, by way of metal steps over a barbed wire fence, has been closed. Regrettably, I had to move the cache.
There is no access to the cache directly from the Rest Area. Instead, walk or drive to the lower northwest corner of the area, near the tunnel under the freeway, then across the cattle grate and up the side road. Parking is available very close to the cache, or make it a great little leg stretcher and walk over.
