Geocache Description:

Short walk around the 'back' of the picturesque town of Marshfield

A pleasant walk of about 3/4 of a mile awaits. The co-ordinates above will give you somewhere to park (Hopefully!) It can get a bit busy at times.

This is near a small garage called Bond's Find the date they started and make this ABCD.

Then head along the main road to N51 27.717 W002 19.012 and find out how old EDWARD BRUCE SALMON was in 1918 this is EF

(Lance Corporal Edward Salmon served in 8th Bn. Gloucestershire Regt. and died on Thursday 28 March 1918 aged EF yrs. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France)

Now substitute the bracketed letters in: N51 27.(C+A)(C*3)D W002 19.(D-A)(F+D)(C*C) And off you go!

Take the road between Bond's and the bus shelter which will lead you down to the start of the path. The path is well marked and used however in some parts the nettles are very virulent and I can vouch for their stinging abilities! so long trousers might be an idea. I suspect things could get a little muddy and slippery in the wet. The cache is outside the cricket grounds. Please beware of traffic as the road near the end can be very fast.

There is no need to cross any wire fences or walls (Other than by stile) to get to the cache.

To make it a circular walk and see a bit more of the village head back along the road and either bear right and down or straight on to take you back to the high street

Please note the Cache IS NOT hidden in the wall so you do not need to dismantle anything!!

The Cache is a small 'click & lock' box initially containing the following:

A 35mm Film. Snow White figurine. A 'pressie' in a bag for the FTF and of course a log and pencil.
