Tactical Dispersal Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Eynowd: Well, it's been over a months since the event, and everyone who was there has now logged their attendance. Time to put this one to bed.

Hopefully the three trackables that remained in this cache will eventually show up. I've marked them as missing. If you have them, please log them!

Geocache Description:

A couple of weeks ago, I held an event in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, so that I could meet some of the local cachers there. It turned out to be a great night and quite a few of the attendees gave me travel bugs and geocoins to bring home with me.

So now I have a whole bag of trackables to disperse in Australia. If I was to place one in each cache I found, I'd be putting them out for ages.

Instead, I figured I'd do what I did in Canada: create an event cache, get people to come to me and just hand them out on one day and let other people disperse them for me

So, come along to the picnic grounds on Black Mountain Pennisula at 12pm for an extremely informal gathering. My plan is we'll just sit around, swap caching stories, have a laugh and I'll send people home with some trackables that have flown in from North America. If you're into icon collecting, I'll bring my geocoin collection and let people discover my new coins as well.

There's plenty of picnic tables and playground equipment, so bring the geokiddies along (if you have them) and we'll make it a fun family outing. There's BBQs there as well, so BYO everything

As an added bonus, I have a lucky door prize of an unactivated Newfoundland Geocoin that I was given by M in 3D in Victoria. Everyone who comes along on the day will go into the draw to win the coin.

Congratulations to:
  • MtBikerOz for winning the Newfoundland Geocoin.
  • Little Buds for winning the Toronto Fire Service cap
  • Sw2092 for winning the ready-to-place geocache
Special thanks to:
  • M in 3D for donating the Newfoundland geocoin
  • Wrooster for donating the Toronto Fire Service cap
