Glacial Rock Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Not accessible by most vehicles during winter months. From young you drive eastward on the pavement to the turn off, hang a left. From Watrous you are driving west and hang a right at the turn off.
This large rock is an erratic and was brought down during the last ice age from Flin Flon, Mb area.
This rock is also an earth cache named Erratic Prairie Boulding ( GC40TMQ). Not my cache but I am involved as you will see when you view the images taken here in 1954. On that listing is a detailed report of glacial activity and how this rock came to be here.
June 24, 2014. For whatever reason, the containers always get soaking wet here. I went out and replaced the large container with a small tin box hung on a fence post. Note: You do NOT have to leave the road allowance and cross over any fencing into private property. However the cache is hung so it is not visible from the road allowance area. Please replace as found so it is not visible to people who party at this rock site on occasion.
