Geocache Description:

Traditional cache in the Big River Management Area.

What to do when you have a huge sandbank, and want forest? The answer involves hundreds of truck loads of top soil and compost, and hours of work with large earth moving equipment. After all this effort, only about 10% of the affected area has been reclaimed.

In about 20 years, the trip to the cache area will be a lot different, but for now, you get to see the juxtaposition of barren land and new growth.

Cache should be an easy find, please replace as hidden. Small prize for FTF.

All users of state management areas, and all hunters statewide, must wear at least 200 square inches of solid daylight-fluorescent orange material from the first Saturday of October through the end of the season, February 28.
