Geocache Description:


Go north from Kemmerer, WY on Hwy 189. From the intersection of Hwy 233 & 189 drive approximately 4.3 miles. Turn left where the power lines cross the highway. You will be on a paved road for about 6 miles and then it will turn into a treated gravel road for approximately 3 more miles. Take the left fork. Follow your GPS from there. You will come to a sign in the road that says Commisary Ranches - Private Property. Cache has been placed with permission by a Commisary Ranches landowner. This should not pose a problem. Just be respectful of cabins in the area and their propery. Cache is NOT on private property so this should not be a problem for geocachers. I approached the cache location from the West when I hid it. It is a relative short walk (.25 miles). Approaching from the East you could get as close as 150 feet but the last 150 feet will be nearly straight up. There are cabins in the area so please be aware and respectful of private property. The area along the gravel road is open range and livestock roam freely…keep an eye out for grazing cattle and sheep. Also, watch for our wonderful Wyoming wildlife. It isn’t uncommon to see mule deer, elk and moose in the cache area. The views in this area are absolutely breathtaking. Please note in your log any wildlife seen. Well worth the time and effort in seeking this cache. Enjoy! My dad’s cabin is less than a half mile away. I will be watching for cachers while I’m there. There is also another cache near by (GCX0X6).
