Please know that the Indiana reviewers have done everything in their power to keep as many caches as possible on IDNR lands and to make this transition as smooth as possible. Geocache Description:

The cache is located about one mile south of the Leota trail head of the Knobstone trail. The location is in an elevated part of the trail at a year round spring.

LEOTA TRAILHEAD From Interstate I-65 take exit number 29, Salem. Go west on Hwy 56 for 4.1 miles and turn left on Zion road. Go 1 mile and turn right on Stagecoach road. Go 1.1 mile and turn right on Leota road. Go 1.3 miles to top of knobs and turn right on Saylor road. Go 100 yards. And turn right on to gravel trailhead entrance road.

Take the trail south, or towards New Chapel trail head. The hike is about one mile. It took me and Jack 30 minutes, but stop along the way and enjoy the lovely valley you will descend into then climb out of. In the spring, the Wood Thrushes make enchanting melodies rivaling back and forth between them. Kentucky Warbles will come to check you out if you "pish" or kiss the back of your hand in a smacking sound.

You will descend from 1040 feet to around 880, then climb again to 1040-1050 feet. The spring is right next to the trail. The cache might be a little harder to find, but it is in the immediate area of the spring. I have it stocked with what I think are some really nice trades. Adults will enjoy any of them and children have some good picks too.
