This is one in a series of caches entitled "Take a Hike" that was placed by The Lynch Three between 2011-2012 (well, this one was placed in 2007.). There are no puzzles, no hard multi's, or no challenging hides in this series; instead, what they share in common is a good hike in the woods, enjoyable in any season.
The Lynch Three has been retired from caching for a while now, so I adopted some of this series so that others could have the same experience of taking a great hike like I once did! This cache was formerly known as "Eight of Diamonds", but The Lynch Three and I agreed to rename it and add it to the "Take a Hike" series. Weir Hill is the most popular and well-known hiking trail among locals in North Andover. I have included parking coordinates, if you are unsure where to park. You can walk to the summit of Weir Hill on wide and well-travelled trails that start at the parking lot. This cache is easily accessed off the trail, and it will give you a great view of Lake Cochichewick, the drinking water source for North Andover.
(The Lynch Three, 2007): This is the Eight of Diamonds Cache, taken from the MAMD Pick a Card Cache at GC13GGX. This is designed to take you around some of the Weir Hill property, one of our favorite places to hike and bike. Start at the parking lot at 42.41.334 and 071.06.375. This is a family-friendly hike, and can even be biked by kids as well (they may have to walk their bikes for some small portions). This is a nice stroll along the lake at Weir Hill. Our boys had fun setting up some decoys, so if you deconstruct one can you please reconstruct it? Thanks, and we hope you enjoy the cache!
